Former US President Donald Trump expects to face arrest on Tuesday of next week, he said Saturday in a social media post in which he urged supporters to take to the streets in protest.
In a rambling message to supporters, the former US leader accused the Manhattan District Attorney’s office of corruption and of having facilitated an increase in violent crime, before asserting that the office is “funded by George Soros” — a famously antisemitic rallying cry in certain political circles. He went on to write: “With no crime being able to be proven [and] based on an old [and] fully debunked … fairytale, the far [and] away leading Republican candidate [and] former president of the United States of America … will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, take our nation back!”
This is a developing story.
