G’morning and welcome to day seven of the Australian Open. We’ll have rolling coverage of today’s sessions as we reach the halfway mark for the 2023 Australian Open and the round four matches get underway.
The competition has started to thin with four of the top 10 men seeds knocked out last week, including defending champion Rafael Nadal and last year’s runner up Daniil Medvedev.
This leaves a lot of eyes on world No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is up against world No.16 Jannik Sinner tonight at Rod Laver Arena.
However before that, world No.1 Iga Swiatek will take on Elena Rybakina with a spot in the quarter-finals up for grabs.
Also in the women’s singles teenage up-and-comer Coco Gauff will face Jelena Ostapenko, while Jessica Pegula will meet Barbora Krejcikova.
Play starts at 11am AEDT and will run until late tonight, please feel free to leave a comment on the blog at anytime and enjoy the day to come.
